Greenhouse cherry tomatoes are the smallest commercial type — 15–20 g per fruit — and the highest-value per kilo. Their high Brix (sugar) level is what premium retail pays for, and it is steered directly by the growing environment: CO₂ enrichment, light management and slightly leaner irrigation all concentrate flavor. Expect 20–40 kg/m² per year depending on spacing, pruning and light.
On high-wire hydroponic gutters the crop is picked frequently — cherry and cocktail types have the highest picking frequency of all tomatoes, which keeps quality high but makes labor planning essential.
